ASFT provides a proven team of software engineers and hardware experts. This innovative team has been awarded and is currently working on several Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) projects. One of these projects is to create an innovative solution to a long-standing fleet issue through the development of the next generation of combat systems. The objective of this research is to establish a new “system of systems” development approach that utilizes and unifies new technologies and concepts to modeling, simulation, measures of effectiveness, data meanings and ontology’s for combat system development. The approach is based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to improve the standardization and integration of the system architectural layers and software components and includes a Function Extraction capability to improve software assurance and system understanding.
Additionally, ASFT is working on an SBIR project to design, build, test, and integrate a Communications Prioritization Tool (CPT) that will automatically prioritize, package, and transmit/receive ADNS Naval messages sent by a submarine’s Exterior Communications Subsystem (ECS). The CPT will be built to interface with the Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR), while remaining adaptable to work with any SWFTS Subsystem requiring efficient information exchange.
“ASFT proposed an innovative solution that meets the needs of the submarine to report information of the highest priority in a minimum amount of time without requiring increased operator workload. ASFT’s approach utilizes a technically sound approach that minimizes the impact to currently deployed systems….ASFT proved a strong knowledge of the current problems facing the submarine community … and has proven they have a keen insight into current submarine missions and the restrictions/limitations placed on the submarine in the performance of those missions.” - NAVSEA Program Manager
A proven team of skilled professionals, ASFT stands ready to develop and implement the next generation of military technological advancements.
