While developing interactive training manuals for the Navy we use our skills above to create technical illustrations based on actual hardware to create a more valuable training experience. ASFT developed the skill to present the overall look and feel of submarine hardware, without losing fine details. ASFT's talented Graphic's department visually depicts complex hardware at levels ranging from the overall system on down to individual connectors. High resolution photography offered too many obstacles: variable lighting and quality of images, massive file sizes, lack of macro detail, and often incomplete builds. ASFT illustrators worked with subject matter experts to recreate the hardware from the ground up in detailed vector form, using photos, CAD files, and even hand drawings as source material. By using a common assets library, file sizes were kept small, and global changes simplified.

ASFT programmers developed a platform built on Adobe Flash and XML, and integrated with electronic manuals, to allow end users to navigate, study, and interact with the hardware and its associated diagrams and content. Just one reason that the military liaison for the project commented, "The technical manuals were far more developed and much easier to use than previous [versions]."

ASFT can assist a new startup company quickly establish a brand identity and provide a core set of marketing tools, with a logo and elegant set of brochures. Many new startups need to quickly produce a core set of marketing resources to promote their business. One such company came to ASFT. Our print and design experts quickly offered a number of concepts reflecting differing aesthetic approaches. Once a logo was established, ASFT coordinated with the startup company to acquire photographs and source material. Within a few weeks, after their logo was established, ASFT provided two complete product and service line brochures, in addition to a complete trade show booth design.

Not only can ASFT support a new startup business but can also meet the needs of a larger established customer. ASFT's Multimedia group used their design skills to create new promotional materials for a Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) customer's project and facility, in the form of posters and a tri-fold brochure. After meeting with the customer and discussing his needs and preferences, draft versions of the posters and brochure were created. After a few edits and revision cycles, the products were finalized, and are now used during senior-level facility visits as project familiarizes and visitor takeaways.
